AMJ Player of the Week

The Guelph Storm announced today that defenceman Adam Comrie is the AMJ Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, February 7th.   

Comrie recorded the most points of any Storm defenceman this week scoring three times and adding one assist. In his first game on the weekend, the 18 year old helped set up Peter Holland for his 20th of the season in the Storm’s 4-2 loss to the Frontenacs. Saturday night in Belleville, the Asburn, VA native was named the third star of the game, scoring the winning goal with a blast from the point less than three minutes remaining in regulation. Recording his second two goal game of the year on Sunday afternoon in Ottawa, Comrie tallied twice on the power play and was named the game’s first star in the Storm’s 4-3 win over the 67’s.

Comrie has picked up seven points in the last seven games and currently leads all Storm defenceman in scoring with 31 points and goals with 11. He is the only Storm player to play in every game so for this season.

Next up, the Storm host the Plymouth Whalers on Wednesday night at the Sleeman Centre for the final “Wecession Wednesday” game of the year where all regular priced tickets are just $5 each. Game time is 7:00 pm. Friday night, the Storm host the Sarnia Sting at the Sleeman Centre before heading off for yet another important divisional clash on Saturday when they travel to Owen Sound for a 7:30 pm start.
