The Ontario Hockey League today announced that forward Taylor Beck of the Guelph Storm is the Boston Pizza OHL Player of the Week for the week ending January 17.  In two games this week Beck led the league in scoring with seven points including three goals and four assists with a plus-minus rating of plus-2.

Beck had the best game of his career before a national audience on Rogers Sportsnet Sunday afternoon with five points including two goals and three assists as second star of an 8-3 win over the Sudbury Wolves.  Both of his goals were scored in a second period span of 2:18 to give him 25 on the season.  On Friday night he had a goal and an assist despite a 4-3 loss to the Owen Sound Attack.
