Guelph Storm wins big in London

Tony Saxon / GuelphToday.com

LONDON – As more rumours of trades involving the Guelph Storm made the rounds Tuesday, the undermanned squad pulled off a big 7-5 win over the Western Conference leading London Knights.

No trades were announced Tuesday, but the Storm sat out defenceman Mark Woolley and forward Barret Kirwin against the Knights. Zach Poirier also missed the game, but he was handed a six-game suspension earlier in the day for his head check against the North Bay Battalion Sunday.
