Herbst Named Player of the Week

The Guelph Storm announced today that goaltender Liam Herbst is the Player of the Week for the week ending September 25, 2016.

 

Herbst kicked off the 2015-16 season with two stellar performances in net. Friday night in the Storm’s home opener against Western Conference rival, Saginaw Spirit, the 20-year old made 35 saves and was named the second star in the 5-1 win. On Saturday in Saginaw, Herbst shined yet again, making 40 saves in the 2-1 win, his performance earned the first star of the game honours.

 

Over the weekend, Herbst posted a 1.00 goals against average and a save percentage of 0.974.

 

Next up, the Storm will host the Hamilton Bulldogs at the Sleeman Centre on Friday for a 7:30 PM puck drop. They head to Owen Sound for a match up against the Attack on Saturday at 7:30 PM.
