Hotchkiss Named Player of the Week

The Guelph Storm announced today that forward Matthew Hotchkiss is the Player of the Week for the week ending October 2, 2016.

Hotchkiss extended his point streak to four games this past weekend, picking up three points in two games. The Whitby native recorded a goal and an assist in Friday night’s loss to Hamilton and a goal in Saturday’s thrilling 4-2 win in Owen Sound.

The third-year forward is off to the best start of his OHL career with five points through the first four games. The 19-year-old currently leads the team in goals, points and is tied for the team lead in assists.

Next up, the Storm return to the Sleeman Centre for a 7:30 PM battle against Western Conference rivals, the Windsor Spitfires before heading on the road to play Hamilton on Saturday night, and Kitchener on Monday for a Thanksgiving showdown.
