Guelph Storm forward Isaac Ratcliffe became the 1st member of the Storm to be chosen in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, selected in the second round (35th overall) by the Philadelphia Flyers.
The London, Ontario native enjoyed a breakout season scoring 28 goals and 26 assists for 54 points in 67 games, and was named the Guelph Storm’s Most Improved Player for the 2016-17 season.
The six-foot-six, 195-pound winger becomes the eigth player in franchise history to be selected in the second round, joining Givani Smith, Tyler Bertuzzi, Brock McGinn, Ian Forbes, Chris Hajt, Brian Wesenberg, and Dwayne Hay.
