Six pack for Suzuki and more grit from Samorukov as Storm win streak hits seven

KITCHENER – Dmitri Samorukov strolled out of the Guelph Storm dressing room Sunday afternoon wearing a pair of mirrored sunglasses.

They weren’t a fashion statement. Rather they shielded his tender eye from the light and shielded the rest of the world from a blood-red eyeball surrounded by black and yellow bruising and 10 stitches along the eyebrow.

Oh yeah, his nose appears to be broken too, all courtesy of hitting the ice face first last Tuesday in London after a head check from the Knights’ Will Lochead, who received a four game suspension.
