Storm Acquire Ceci from Bulldogs

General Manager and Head Coach George Burnett announced that the Storm have acquired goaltender Cole Ceci from the Hamilton Bulldogs.

In exchange for Ceci, the Storm have traded a conditional 9th round pick in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection.

“This is a great opportunity for us to improve our depth at the goaltending position,” said Burnett.  “Cole is a hard-working  young man and is anxious for an opportunity.”

In 2016-17, the Ottawa native played in nine games for the Bulldogs, posting a 2-3-1 record with a 3.84 goals-against average and a .880 save percentage.

While with the GOJHL’s Ancaster Avalanche in 2015-16, Cole played in 32 games and had a 2.57 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage.  He was originally drafted by the Belleville Bulls in the 10th round of the 2014 OHL Priority Selection.

Ceci will join the Storm in time for Friday’s season opener versus the Sarnia Sting at the Sleeman Centre.
