Storm Acquires Draft Picks from Barrie

The Guelph Storm Hockey Club has announced that they have moved overage forward Daniel Erlich to the Barrie Colts in exchange for Niagara’s 5th round selection in 2012, Barrie’s 4th in 2014 and a conditional 8th round pick in 2017.

Acquired last January from the London Knights, Erlich played 29 regular season games in a Storm uniform last year recording 32 points (10 goals and 22 assists). The Thornhill native also added six points in six playoff games.  The 20 year old returned to Guelph earlier this month after requesting to be released from the EC Salzburg in Austria where he played 16 games and recorded one goal and six assists.
