Storm select Haas and McDermott in 11th & 12th rounds

With the third pick in the 11th round of the 2017 OHL Priority Selection, the Guelph Storm welcomed goaltender Nicholas Haas to the team, and later selected right wing Alton McDermott with the second pick of the 12th round.

Haas, going 203rd overall and a Williamsville, New York native, appeared in 17 games in 2016-17 with the Buffalo Regals 15-U team, recording a 3.77 goals-against-average.
McDermott, selected 222nd overall and a native of Oakville, Ontario, spent the 2016-17 season with the Oakville Rangers Minor Midget AAA squad, registering 15 goals and nine assists for 24 points  through 34 games played. The five-foot-six, 134-pound forward also tallied 18 penalty minutes on the season.
