Community Day 2010

Cineplex Entertainment, via Galaxy Cinemas Guelph, is pleased to host Starlight Community Day on Saturday, October 16th, 2010 from 8:30 am to 11:00 am in support of Starlight Children’s Foundation.

The morning will offer Guelph and area residents the opportunity to escape to Galaxy Cinemas Guelph and enjoy a great selection of free movies as well as specially discounted concession items at the concession stand.  Concession pricing will include $2 for regular-size popcorn and $2 for a regular-size fountain drink, with all concession proceeds donated to the Starlight Children’s Foundation.  In addition to clowns and face painting, players from the Guelph Storm hockey club will be in attendance to sign autographs, assist at the box office and work on the floor as theatre ushers!

“We (the Storm) are extremely honored to be a part of this special event”, Storm President Rick Hoyle said. “Being able to assist in helping make life easier for kids and their families is such a worthwhile cause and we hope all of our fans and their families will come out to show their support.”

The Starlight Children’s Foundation helps seriously ill children and their families cope with their pain, fear and isolation through entertainment, education and family activities.

The morning movie schedule includes:

9:00 am    Karate Kid
9:10 am    Iron Man 2
9:20 am    How To Train Your Dragon 3D
9:30 am    Shrek Forever After
9:40 am    Marmaduke

All the movies are free of charge to guests and are based on seat availability on a first-come, first-serve basis.
