Life at the Rink

Completed in October 2000, the Sleeman Centre is one of the top facilities in the CHL.  The multi-purpose centre is integrated with the two levels of the Old Quebec Street Mall. The second floor of the mall flows into the concourse level of the arena and an additional club lounge and restaurant services the club seats section located behind the players’ benches. An upper tier of seating accommodates private suites and specialty VIP club seating with private bar and lounge.

GUELPH STORM HOCKEY & TRAINING INFRASTRUCTURE¦ Guelph Storm hockey staff were involved in the planning stages of the Guelph Storm ˜clubhouse’ from day one.  Each detail of the hockey headquarters including Fitness Room, Training Room, Players Lounge, Video Screening Room and the Storm Dressing Room were carefully planned out.

˜Behind the scenes’ of the state-of-the-art Sleeman Centre, is a fully equipped 2,000+ square foot fitness area used exclusively by Storm players.  This area includes a full selection of weight and cardiovascular training equipment to ensure that Guelph Storm players are in peak shape throughout the season.

Steps away from the training and work-out area is the players lounge including all the comforts needed to make the rink a ˜home away from home’.  Also inside the Guelph Storm headquarters is a fully-equipped medical training room and a video screening board room for game video analysis. With a tribute to Guelph Storm teams from the past eighteen seasons, the dressing room area is the centre-piece of the Guelph Storm hockey headquarters.

Only nine seasons old, the Sleeman Centre and the Storm’s hockey operations headquarters provides a professional, first-class environment for junior players enabling Guelph Storm players to reach their full potential in every facet of the game.
