With the first pick of the second round in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection, the Guelph Storm welcome Mason Primeau to the Royal City.

Selected 22nd overall, the six-foot-four, 180-pound centre totaled for 29 points (13 goals, 16 assists) in 33 games played for the GTHL Kraft Cup-winning team, the Toronto Young Nationals Minor Midget AAA.

Primeau also took part in the GTHL Top Prospects Game in December, where he was named Most Valuable Player of the contest.

The Etobicoke, Ontario native is the son of Wayne Primeau, and nephew of Keith Primeau, who both enjoyed NHL careers.

Primeau won Gold at the 2017 OHL Gold Cup with Team GTHL Red along with fellow Storm Prospects, Anthony Aguanno, Ty Jackson and Dylan Jackson. Primeau registered two points in five games.
