Rychel versus Baltisberger on TSN

When Team Canada faces Switzerland on Thursday, the quarterfinal matchup will pit Guelph Storm teammates against each other at the 2014 World Junior Hockey Championship in Malmo, Sweden.  The game will get underway at 10:30 am ET live on TSN.

Phil Baltisberger (pictured at right) and his Swiss mates finished the round robin in fourth place in Group B and will try to upset Rychel and Team Canada, who finished the round robin in top spot in Group A.

For the first time, the two first place teams in the preliminary round will not get a bye into the semifinals.  Another change will see the four nations that lose in the quarterfinals wrap up their tournament rather than playing further games for final rankings.

Now in our 23rd season in Guelph, Storm personnel have represented their country on 34 occasions at the World Junior Hockey Championhships.
