Storm teammates square off on Monday

Guelph Storm teammates Phil Baltisberger and Kerby Rychel will meet on Monday live on TSN at 12 pm.

Baltisberger will represent his native Switzerland for the third time at the 2014 World Junior Championship, while Rychel will represent Canada in Malmo, Sweden beginning Boxing Day.

On Monday afternoon in the final tune-up for the tournament, Canada will play Switzerland.  After defeating Finland 4-2, Rychel and Team Canada lost 3-0 to Sweden on Sunday. 

Baltisberger and Switzerland dropped the Czech Republic 3-2 on Saturday.


The Guelph Storm organization has a proud history of Storm players representing their countries at the World Junior Hockey Championship.

Now in our 23rd season, current, or former Guelph Storm players have participated in the World Junior Hockey Championship on twenty-nine occasions capturing eleven Gold Medals, five Silver Medals and one Bronze Medal.
