Quinton Byfield’s first career OHL goal was a thing of beauty as the first overall pick of the 2018 OHL Priority Selection dazzled with a breakaway tally to cap a 4-2 Sudbury Wolves victory in Guelph. After falling behind 2-0, Shane Bulitka, Liam Ross and Drake Pilon preceded Byfield’s milestone marker as Sudbury outshot Guelph 29-22 in the win. Byfield, Ross and Pilon all finished with a goal and an assist while goaltender Jake McGrath made 20 saves for the win. Nate Schnarr and Liam Hawel scored for the Storm in their home opener as they went 2-for-3 on the power play.
