Bowman Commits to Storm

General Manager and Head Coach George Burnett announced Saturday that Braeden Bowman has committed to an Ontario Hockey League standard player agreement with the Storm.

Bowman, a 6’0”, 188 lb forward from Kitchener, was the Storm’s 5th round pick (96th overall) in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection.

“Braeden is a high-character individual that will be a big part of our future,” said Burnett.  “We are excited to work with Braeden on developing his potential to be a high-end player in our league.”

The 2003-born Bowman spent the 2018-19 season with the Kitchener Jr. Rangers where he collected 17 goals and 18 assists for 35 points in 32 games.

““It is a huge honour to join such a great organization,” said Bowman.  “I am looking forward to working with the coaching staff on my development and I can’t wait to get started.”

In the OHL Cup, the Kitchener, Ontario native potted three goals for five points in four games played, along with four penalty minutes.

Bowman will suit up for pre season action with the Storm. The first home game of the exhibition season takes place on Saturday at 7pm against the Flint Firebirds. Visit to purchase.
