Guelph, we need your help!
The Storm in conjunction with the City are running a contest to name the eight city snowplows!
Two of them have already been named Stormy and Spyke, but there are six left! The contest will run from the 10th – 16th of February.
How to enter:
- Visit the online contest submission form via guelphstorm.com to share your name, your snowplow idea name, and your contact information (email, phone and address).
- The contest will open on February 10th and entries will be accepted until Feb.16th at midnight.
- A shortlist of names will be selected in late February by a small panel of local judges who will vote to choose the top 10 names. The community will vote for the winning 6 names via the Guelph Storm website.
- Winners will be announced the last week of February.
“I can’t wait to see the names that students come up with for our snow plows,” said Mayor Guthrie. “This is a great way to rally the creativity and imagination of our local youth – while shining a light on one of our most important City services at the same time. I am thrilled the Guelph Storm and the City have teamed up for this contest!”

You must be a City of Guelph resident to participate in the contest.
One name entry per resident please.
Any inappropriate or offensive names will not be considered or published.

Winning names will be featured on the plow tracker app and will be added to the machines for the remainder of the 2021 and 2022 season.
