Storm select Leo Hafenrichter 69th overall in CHL Import Draft

In the second round 69^th overall, the Guelph Storm is proud to select Leo Hafenrichter. 

Hafenrichter, the 6’1, 185 lbs right-handed defenseman from Germany was selected with the 69^thpick in this year’s CHL Import Draft.  Hafenrichter had an excellent 2019-20 season, producing 8 goals, 17 assists, 25 points, and 12 PIMs in 30 games.

“Valentin put up terrific numbers in Russia’s top junior league last season as a late 2004-born player. Leo is a big, mobile, puck-moving defenseman and is considered one of the top young defenseman in his country. Both players are expected to have an opportunity to represent their countries in upcoming international events.” said GM and Head Coach George Burnett. “We are excited and hopeful that both players will be in our lineup come the fall.”
