Tracking the Storm – Ryan Pottruff

Ryan Pottruff began his OHL career with the London Knights in 2003 and was acquired by the Storm in a trade, along with teammate Rick Steadman and a 2nd round pick. The Woodstock, native spent the following three seasons with the Storm, appearing in 141 games and being named assistant captain in the 2005-2006 season. In his 3-seasons with the Storm, Pottruff was a Mike Kelly Humanitarian of the Year Award winner and a 2x Winmar Community Hero Award recipient.

Following the end of his OHL career, Pottruff attended the University of Lethbridge where he studied Kinesiology and Exercise Science. He was featured on the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns men’s hockey roster from 2008-2012 and appeared in 85 games.

Following his undergraduate studies, Pottruff has been with Ritchie Bros., an industrial asset disposition and management company. He has been in many roles with the company over the last decade and is currently a Regional Sales Manager.
