Panik headlines OHL Plays of the Week

Panik’s brilliant skate to stick goal against the Sting last Friday on Rogers Sportsnet earns him the top OHL Play of the Week for the week ending January 30th. 

Panik’s highlight reel goal was his 23rd of the season and scored on the power play in the third period of last Friday’s game.  He added an assist and was named second star of the 6-2 win.

Panik, a 19-year-old from Martin, Slovakia, is a Tampa Bay Lightning prospect and has recorded 21 points in 18 games with the Storm since being acquired from the Belleville Bulls.

Also included in the highlights this week is CHL and OHL Player of the Week Cody Lindsay of the Ottawa 67’s, Ryan Spooner of the Kingston Frontenacs, Stephen Sanza of the London Knights, and Michael Catenacci of the Kitchener Rangers.
