Last week marked the start of the 2016-17 hockey season, as the Guelph Storm welcomed 52 players to Training Camp. Along with rookies and returning players, the Guelph Storm welcomed back former Storm Captain, Jason Dickinson. We caught up with Jason Dickinson during his time back in the Royal City.
Dickinson spent last season playing for the Texas Stars where he recorded 22 goals and 31 assists for 53 points in 73 games. The Georgetown native also made his NHL debut last year with the Dallas Stars, recording his first NHL goal in his lone appearance.
During his time with the Guelph Storm, Dickinson tallied 84 goals and 147 assists for 231 points in 253 regular season games played, as well as 39 points (eight goals, and 16 assists) in 40 playoff games. Dickinson’s time with the Storm was highlighted as a member of the 2013-14 OHL Championship squad that made it to the Memorial Cup final. Dickinson ranks seventh in Games Played, eighth in Career Assists, and tenth in Single Playoff Points with the Storm.
The Storm are back in action this Friday, September 9 at the Sleeman Centre with puck drop set for 7:30 pm versus Mississauga Steelheads. For more information on tickets, visit www.GuelphStorm.com, www.ticketmaster.ca, or call (519) 837-9690.
